Although we were established as an association in August 2023, we carried out various activities as an initiative before forming our organizational structure.
Our volunteer work in Hatay accelerated and even necessitated the establishment of Gender. We contributed to the region from the first moments of the earthquake.
GENDER participated in the earthquake workshop for earthquake-resistant Istanbul and played an active role in the reporting process.
We conducted news reporting and advocacy activities on gender inequalities in working life.
In collaboration with SLN Tekstil, work on gender equality and sexual harassment awareness was carried out.
We created a volunteer network with lawyers registered with the Istanbul Bar Association and opened legal advocacy areas.

Born in Istanbul in 1974, graduated from Istanbul University Faculty of Communication, Journalism department. Journalist with experience in finance sector and civil society, Administrative Coordinator at World Human Relief.
